While the NLPAA does not endorse individual members, we provide this directory as a reliable resource for those seeking professional NLP services. Our listings are designed to help you connect with practitioners who have committed to maintaining the highest standards in the field of NLP. At the top of our list, you'll find our Professional Members, distinguished by the Professional Member logo on their websites. These members have not only achieved at least the NLP Master Practitioner level but have also been active in the NLP professional community for a minimum of two years. Professional Members are committed to continuous improvement, adhering to strict annual membership requirements that include clinical supervision and ongoing professional development. Following the Professional Members, you will see Master Practitioner Members who have trained to the Master Practitioner level of NLP, and then Practitioner Members trained the Practitioner level of NLP. This structure ensures you can easily identify the level of training and experience each coach offers, helping you to choose a coach that best fits your needs. |
NLP Coaching FAQQ: What can NLP help with? A: Since the 1970's NLP has proven to be an effective therapeutic and coaching modality to help in just about any area of life. Because NLP is focused on how the unconscious mind is programmed for all of your behaviours, beliefs, and emotions, it is a great tool to help with all aspects of life. From goal attainment to mental health strategies, communication enhancement to leadership tools. Q: Can I claim on Medicare or Health Insurance? A: Generally, no. You may be able to find a practitioner that is registered as a mental health worker, but on it's own NLP is not a modality currently recognised by Medicare or Insurance companies. Q: How much does NLP Coaching cost? A: This varies with each practitioner. We have seen coaching rates starting at $50/hour up to $500. Your coach may provide packages, programs, or one-on-one sessions. Q: What is the best way to choose a Coach? A: We will always recommend contacting a few coaches and having a discussion with them. Ask questions, get a feel for their experience and skills to see if they are going to fit with you. Q: Is the coaching tailored to me? A: Absolutely. While some coaches offer a program of sorts, NLP as a whole is very client-centred, and the approach is often tailored to each client. Q: What is the difference between your membership types? A: You will see three membership types listed here. Starting with our Professional Members, then our Master Practitioner and finally our Practitioner Members. The Professional Members have the most experience, plus are dedicated to their ongoing development with education and supervision requirements annually. Our Practitioner Members have completed one level of NLP training, while the Master Practitioner Members have completed two. Q: How is NLP different to traditional coaching and therapy? A: While traditional therapy often focuses on understanding and processing past experiences, NLP Coaching is more action-oriented and future-focused. It aims to quickly change thought patterns and behaviors to achieve specific outcomes, rather than delving deeply into past traumas or issues. Q: I've done NLP Therapy before, will I get the same results? A: Your results are greatly dependent on a few factors: 1) your clients experience and skills, 2) the complexity of your issue, 3) your commitment to the goal, and other underlying factors. While no two clients or coaches are the same, most people notice results quite quickly. Some immediately, and other over time. |
